Live Scans: (Inkless – Electronic Submission)
The standard fee for Live Scan fingerprinting is $20.00 -$30.00.
There will be no additional charge if a Request for Live Scans Service Form has a billing number.
Walk-ins are available. Tuesday – Saturday 8am-2pm
Additional Fees may be required depending on the Level of Service your employer/agency is requesting. For Example: Applicants whose level of service is DOJ, total fees include 30.00 + $32.00 = $52.00.
The agencies requesting your clearance should provide you with the proper Live Scans form.
Our office DOES NOT provide this form.
Items you will need to bring include:
- Valid Driver License (any state in the United States), or
- Valid California Identification Card, or Valid passport with current Visa
- “Request for Live Scans Form” and cash, debit card, or credit cards
NOTE: A temporary license (DMV paper printout) is NOT a valid form of identification.
To Check the status of your Live Scan :
Please to go (https://applicantstatus.doj.ca.gov). You will need the following information: (1) your date of birth; and (2) the 10-digit Automated Transaction Identifier (ATI) number that appears at the bottom of the Department of Justice form requesting Live Scan fingerprint background checks
We accept cash, debit card or credit cards. All payments will be collected at the SWS Learning Center at the time of the appointment.
Travel Fee: one-mile radius from office is free; otherwise other areas applicable fee may apply.
